In the year 2020, 2 lakh 75 thousand 800 children were born in South Korea. As of 2019, the figure is 10 percent lower. So in the year 2020, 3 lakh 7 thousand 764 people died in the country. The Home Ministry has called for a sweeping change in government policies following the figures. The lack of coordination in women’s office and life is also being cited as a major reason behind the decline in birth rates in South Korea. So some families avoid giving birth even for financial reasons.
