This city of the state became the longest BRTS corridor in the country

A new landmark has been added in the urban transport sector in Surat.  Thanks to the efforts of Surat Municipal Corporation, it has become the longest 108 km BRTS corridor in the country.  Currently, there are more than 166 buses operating on a total of 13 routes in the BRTS corridor of 102 km.  In which more than 1.03 lakh passengers travel daily.  In which Chief Minister Vijay Rupani e-launched the route from Kumbharia to Kadodra (06 km length).

Public transport was not available in Surat city in the year 2007.  Surat Municipal Corporation took the initiative to start public transport keeping in view the daily transport needs of the public and Surat Citylink Ltd. by Surat Municipal Corporation.  A public transport company was formed.  BRTS bus service Udha Darwaza-Sachin GIDC on 26/01/2014 by Surat Municipal Corporation.  Meanwhile a 12km route was launched.

Apart from this, from Magadalla, Citylight, Udha Darwaza, Sachin GIDC Naka, ONGC Colony-Canal Road-Sarthana Jakatnaka, Adajan Patiya to Jahangirpura, Adajan Patiya to Pal RTO Corridor, Pal RTO ONGC Thodor, Janthiran  Junction, Dindoli Warigriha to Hirabag / Gajera Circle, Hirabag to Lake Garden, Jahangirpura, Katargam Gate to Kosad Circle.
