A meeting of the government today decided that the celebration of Sheri Garba or distribution of Prasad in Navratri has been banned this year.
Like every year, Gujarat will not be able to celebrate Navratri with fanfare this year as the government has decided to complete the Aarti in just one hour this year due to other increasing cases of corona and also the distribution of Prasad has been banned as more spreads are likely.
In the place where large scale sheri garbas were organized, only 200 people have been allowed this year. This year, the organizers of the place where the idol or garbi is placed will have to take care that the social distance is maintained, sanitizers will have to be used and the people coming to the aarti will have to take care whether they come wearing mandatory masks or not.
