After losing the first match against England at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Team India got back into its rhythm and bounced back in the second T20 match, beating England by 7 wickets. Now, after a stunning victory in the second match, the confident team India will be free and fearless in the third T20 match against England on Tuesday. But in the meantime, Team India has also been penalized in the second T20 match.

Virat Kohli and his team managed to do well in every field of the second match. But Indian cricketers have been fined 20 per cent of their match fees for slow over rate in the second T20 International against England on Sunday. Javagal Srinath of the ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees has penalized Kohli’s team for throwing one over less in the allotted time.

The ICC said the players were fined 20 per cent match fee as per the code of conduct attached to the players and support staff. Kohli has pleaded guilty and also accepted the proposed fine, so no official hearing is required. Field umpires Anil Chaudhary and KN Anantpadmanabh and third umpire Virender Sharma accused the Indian team of slow over rate.
