If my shoes could speak,
They’d have a thousand tales to tell.
Some happy some sad,
Some good some bad,
Few crazy enough to crack you laughing,
And many would leave you sobbing.
If my shoes could speak,
They’d have a thousand tales to tell.
They’d talk of all my gruesome tasks,
How I hid my pain behind happy masks.
Life wasn’t always a jolly good fellow,
& many nights witnessed a wet pillow.
Good my shoes can’t speak,
Or they’ll let out all my secret paths,
The miles I walked in the dark,
My journeys have left their mark.
Engraved deep in my heart,
And they’ll befriend me until I depart.
