The Bombay High Court has dismissed a petition seeking a stay on the release of The Kashmir Files. Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, the film is releasing in theaters on March 11. After the dismissal of the petition, the way for the release of the film has been cleared.

The story of The Kashmir Files is based on the expulsion of Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley in the 1990s and the political climate of this period. The film stars Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Puneet Issar, Pallavi Joshi and Darshan Kumar in the lead roles.

A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed in the Bombay High Court against the film directed by Vivek Agnihotri, in which it was requested to stop the release, stating that the content of the film was against a particular community.

This petition was filed on behalf of Uttar Pradesh resident Intezar Hussain Syed. The petition claimed that the film’s trailer misrepresents the Muslim community and that certain scenes encourage community bitterness. The petition also called the film one-sided.

It is being highly praised for the hard-hitting sequences shown in the trailer of The Kashmir Files. It is shown in the trailer that the separatist forces were at their peak at that time demanding independence in Kashmir, which got the support of some political leaders. Kashmiri Pandits were attacked and forced to leave the Valley. Anupam Kher will be seen in the role of Kashmiri Pandit.

The film The Kapil Sharma Show is also in discussion on social media. In fact, some users had advised to promote the film on The Kapil Sharma Show to take the film to a wider level, to which director Vivek Agnihotri said that his film does not have commercial stars, so he will not be invited to the show. . After this, many users also tagged Kapil Sharma and demanded to invite the team of The Kashmir Files. At the same time, his trolling also started with this. Vivek Agnihotri had earlier produced The Tashkent Files on the mystery behind the death of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, which was both critically and commercially successful.
