The 6th Endourology Advancements Conference began in Ahmedabad with the presence of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah. The event, organized by the Ahmedabad Urology Association, was attended by CM Shri Bhupendra Patel.

During this event, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah expressed that this conference will be highly beneficial for the future of the health sector. It stands out as a unique gathering, with the knowledge, experience, and research shared here proving fruitful not only for India but also for the entire world. The positive outcomes from the previous convention in the health sector are evident to all of us, showcasing the success of such endeavours. India has garnered significant accomplishments in urology research, surgery, and diagnostics on a global scale, with Gujarat emerging as a leader in the country in the field of urology.

Shri Amit Shah emphasized that the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is taking a comprehensive approach to the health sector in the country. During the nationwide COVID-19 crisis, the government exerted all efforts to protect the population. When Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared COVID-19 a disaster, there were neither vaccines nor research available. Similar to Lal Bahadur Shastri, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emerged as a leader who fought against COVID-19 alongside 140 crore people and ultimately achieved success. In the battle against the pandemic, significant support was provided by the central government, state government, doctors, nurses, and technology.

During the second wave of COVID-19, over 1500 oxygen tanks were made available within just 121 days. To ensure oxygen supply nationwide, 900 express trains were deployed. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, everyone collectively and successfully fought against the pandemic, he added.

While discussing the Central Government’s various initiatives, Shri Amit Shah mentioned that the progress in modern medical science has significantly enhanced health facilities. The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, implemented nationwide under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has brought about the most substantial improvement and transformation in the health of the country’s citizens. To date, over 10 crore toilets have been constructed across the country under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Additionally, initiatives such as Khelo India, Fit India, and programs like yoga are contributing significantly to the enhancement of people’s health, he noted.

Discussing the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, the Union Home Minister stated that 60 crore people in the country are receiving free health services up to five lakhs under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Similarly, generic medicines are being distributed to the public through Jan Aushadhi Kendra.

The Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis Program has been a boon for the citizens of the country. As part of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, health IDs for over 37 crore people in the country have been generated.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has shown concern for citizens across the country, leading the Central Government to make comprehensive efforts to ensure that health facilities reach the maximum number of people in the days to come.

Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel :-

The role of urologists and the urology sector is akin to angels in addressing serious diseases related to the kidneys. Today, Urology in India is taking giant strides in the field of surgery, clinical and research urology at the international level and it is a pride that Indian urologists are providing treatment similar to that provided in countries like America and Europe at a lower cost in our country. He added.

The whole world has appreciated the advancement in the field of urology in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
