Mumbai. Star England pacer Jofra Archer has been bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs 8 crore even though he will not be available in the IPL this year and the player says the family atmosphere in the team makes him feel safe. The 26-year-old Archer, who has undergone two surgeries to treat his right elbow, will miss the Indian Premier League (IPL) this year to recover from the injury. But he is quite excited about the prospect of joining the franchise in future.
Archer said on the team’s official social media handle, “The Mumbai Indians team is like a family and teams with a family atmosphere always do well. So it is not surprising that we have won five titles. He added, “Polly (Kieron Pollard) has been in it for 10 years, (Lasith) Malanga has been there for a long time, so is it with Rohit (Sharma). These things make you feel safe when you join the team as a new player.
