The action-packed new season of Khatron Ke Khiladi is all set to launch this weekend i.e., on 2nd July 2022 and promises to be bigger and better than ever before. While all the action is set to unfold and as the demigod of action, Rohit Shetty and daredevil contestants are shooting in Cape Town, we got a chance to speak to one of the daredevil contestants and the Boss Lady Rubina Dilaik.
Excerpts from her interviews
How do you want to describe your journey of Khatron Ke Khiladi so far?
It has been fantastic; it just full of experiences, every day is a new day, a new experience and that’s what I’m living here. Some days are scary but yeah, I have so far performed stunts that have challenged me both mentally and physically and made me stronger.
Do you have any phobias and how do you plan to conquer them?
I have learnt that it is wise to keep your fears and phobias only to yourself and be prepared for anything that comes your way.
Host Rohit Shetty has mentioned in one of his interviews that you are one of the strongest contestants in this season. What do you have to say?
Firstly, I want to thank him for having this faith in me. Now I feel that pressure has just manifolded (jokingly) and I won’t let him down. My whole idea about being in this journey is to live its each moment and take each day as it comes.
Did you discover any new fear when you came to Cape Town to shoot?
Honestly speaking, since I’ve already performed that stunt, my biggest fear was creepy crawlies. You give me any other stunt to perform I won’t feel jitters but during the stunts with creepy crawlies it was terrifying.
How did you prepare yourself for the show? Have you taken special lessons for this show?
No, I believe no one can really prepare for what’s in store for us because, this show is all about thinking on your feet while facing your wildest fears. How you react to tough situations under time pressure matters the most. I think it’s more about the experiences that you learn from over a period. So, there is nothing that you can do to make your phobias go away except for facing them.
Having himself participated in ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 11’, did your husband Abhinav give you any advice?
Abhinav has rightly said that any advice from his side would be of no use because I’m getting to experience the stunts in my own way. He has his own set of fears, strengths, and limitations, whereas I have my own. So, there is no set formula that you can really pass on.
Who do you think is your biggest competition on the show?
Everybody here is a competition for each other. This show is all about healthy competition that is helping all of us grow. We are competing yet cheering for each other at the same time.
You have immense fan following across the globe, is there any message for them?
I just want them to pray for me and keep their love and blessing pouring on me. Having them by my side is the best feeling in the world.
