iCreate (International Centre for Entrepreneurship and Technology) Indiaʼs leading innovation-based start-up incubator announced the launch of EVangelise’22 – India’s largest EV innovation challenge, in partnership with Startup India and the CII – CoE for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Start-ups (CII-CIES). Aimed at solving real world challenges in the EV industry, the second edition of EVangelise was announced by Shri Jagdish Vishwakarma, Hon’ble Minister of State for Industries, Govt. of Gujarat today at Crown Plaza, Ahmedabad.

Commenting on the launch, Anupam Jalote, CEO, iCreate said, “It gives me immense pleasure to witness the second phase of EVangelise take shape in India today. The intent to host EVanglise annually is to be an integral part of India’s transformation towards developing energy-efficient and sustainable transportation solutions. Being one of iCreate’s biggest inventions and one of India’s largest EV innovation challenges, EVangelise was launched with the mission to harness the potential of EV innovators in the industry. While the EV industry is undergoing a paradigm shift in the country, it is crucial that we identify and address challenges at the sub-component level to smoothly transition our way towards sustainable mobility. This year, we aim to bring out the spearheads to solve real-world issues that the EV industry is facing globally at a sub-component level. We witnessed a great enthusiasm from participants last year and hope to see it multiplied with the second edition this year.”

iCreate’s EVangelise 2022 aims to put India on the global EV map, as a leader in developing clean, low-cost, innovative technologies that solve critical problems that the industry faces. Apart from identifying the next generation of innovators in the EV sub-components segment, EVangelise 2022 will explore opportunities to create solutions in the areas of battery safety and EV infrastructure along with participation of industry leaders from Niti Ayog, BPCL, Dassault Systems India Pvt Ltd, MyByk, HSBC, Hero Motocorp and eInfochip.
