Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel had a productive meeting with Mr. Susumu Kataoka, President of JETRO – Japan External Trade Organization on the second day of his visit to Japan along with the Gujarat delegation.
It was discussed in detail during this meeting how JETRO has played an important role in enhancing economic partnership and cooperation between Japan and the global business community. Not only this, but JETRO has also been a partner in Gujarat for a long time.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel expressed happiness that JETRO has started a Business Support Center in Ahmedabad to attract and assist Japanese industrial companies in investing in Gujarat.
He stated that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Gujarat is resolutely advancing with the goal of becoming a leader in sectors such as semiconductors, green hydrogen, and medical devices.
In this context, Shri Bhupendra Patel mentioned that JETRO can actively participate in attracting investments to sectors like semiconductors, green technology, bulk drugs, medical devices, ceramics, and textiles.
The President and officials of JETRO expressed their interest in understanding Gujarat’s development journey and conveyed their willingness to strengthen the relationship with JETRO Gujarat.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel extended an invitation to JETRO to participate in the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit-2024.
