Thousands of farmers march to Mumbai in protest of agriculture law, Pawar to join rally

Farmers in Maharashtra have now expressed their support for the Centre’s agricultural law. Farmers in Maharashtra have also made preparations for a massive demonstration. Thousands of farmers from 21 districts of Maharashtra state gathered in Nashik on Saturday and started marching 180 km to the capital Mumbai.

A huge rally has also been organized on Monday at Azad Maidan in Mumbai. In which farmers from small rural areas will also participate. The big leader of Maharashtra Sharad Pawar will also join this rally. Thousands of farmers are already sitting on different borders of Delhi in protest of the three agricultural laws. Thousands of farmers have been spotted heading towards Mumbai on the roads in the Kasara Ghat area between Nashik and Mumbai in Maharashtra. In which some farmers have poster-banners in their hands while some have flags in their hands. Farmers of small organizations have come together under the banner of All India Kisan Mahasabha. Thousands of farmers will reach Mumbai’s Azad Maidan by Sunday evening. He will take part in a rally at Azad Maidan on Monday. Nationalist Congress Party supremo Sharad Pawar will also take part in the rally. A few days ago, he slammed the central government for not heeding the demands of the protesting farmers.

“Farmers are protesting in the area around Delhi in such cold weather,” Pawar said. Unable to understand the sentiments of the farmers, the central government will have to suffer the consequences. Also last month, Sharad Pawar issued a warning that the central government should not test the patience of farmers. Akhil Bharatiya Kisan Sabha has organized a farmers’ rally in Mumbai on Monday. Former Union Agriculture Minister and NCP president Sharad Pawar, Pradesh Congress president Balasaheb Thorat and Shiv Sena leader Aditya Thackeray will address the farmers. The farmers’ delegation also clarified that state governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari would also be introduced. However, protesting farmers in Delhi are now set to stage a tractor rally against the government.
