CM Shri Bhupendra Patel visited Khavda in Kutch, on Wednesday morning, to review the ongoing development of the 30,000 MW Solar-Wind Renewable Energy Park. Under the visionary guidance of the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, the construction of the world’s largest Hybrid Renewable Energy Park is underway, aiming for India’s self-reliance in the energy sector. This hybrid park, aligned with the Prime Minister’s vision for green-clean energy and environmental protection, is being developed at an estimated cost of Rs. 1.50 lakh crore.


During a high-level meeting, CM Shri Bhupendra Patel conducted a thorough review, gathering details on the progress of work undertaken by government enterprises such as the National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC), GIPCL, and GSEC in the development of the Renewable Energy Park. Energy Minister Shri Kanubhai Desai, Chief Advisor to the Chief Minister Dr. Hasmukh Adhia, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Pankaj Joshi, Principle Secretary of Energy and Petrochemicals Department Smt. Mamta Verma, along with Secretaries of the State Government and senior officials from the relevant public enterprises, were present at the review meeting.


The Chief Minister urged the officers to focus on ensuring timely availability of power generated in the Renewable Energy Park to various parts of the country, including Gujarat, and to fulfil the Prime Minister’s vision of green energy. During the meeting, he inquired about the time-bound planning for power generation, evacuation, and transmission, as well as the setup of pooling stations and transmission lines. Additionally, CM Shri Bhupendra Patel recommended that the Energy Department conduct periodic review meetings to coordinate the progress of this project, which holds significance as one of the dream projects of PM Shri Narendra Modi.


The Chief Minister, along with Energy Minister Shri Kanu Desai and other senior officials, visited the expansive site of the Renewable Energy Park, spanning approximately 74,600 hectares near Dharamshala on the Kutch border near Khavda. Several development projects, garnering global recognition for Gujarat, are materializing under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Recently CM Shri Bhupendra Patel has reviewed visionary projects, monitored progress, and provided essential guidance. The on-site visit includes projects such as Metro Rail Phase-II, Dharoi Area Development, and Dholera SIR. Following this approach, the Chief Minister inspected the construction site of the world’s largest renewable energy park in Khavda, Kutch, on Wednesday.
