The software for the drive is developed by Sufalam Solutions Pvt Ltd. This initiative in the state is in accordance with the effort to ramp up RT-PCT testing capacity.

Under this drive-through initiative, passengers and drivers can undergo RT-PCR testing process quickly and conveniently without having to get out of their vehicles at government approved rates of Rs. 800/-. A nasal or throat swab sample will be taken through the car window, and the entire process (drive-in entry to exit) will be very quick.

Commenting on this development, Dr Sandip Shah, Executive Director, Neuberg Diagnostics Private Limited, said, “ A drive-through has emerged as a viable strategy to improve people’s access for testing. As the cases are increasing exponentially, this concept has helped us fast-track sample collection. Currently, we are processing a substantial number of samples every day at our GMDC Ground facility, and with this addition, we are hoping to increase our testing reach to the patient  3-fold. This initiative will bring relief for the specially-abled, elderly and those who need quick service per convenience.”

Ms Aishwarya Vasudevan, Group COO, Neuberg Diagnostics Private Limited, said, “It is our duty to support the authority in the fight against COVID. We are adhering to safety protocols of the state and ICMR and are ensuring that we bring COVID-19 RT-PCR tests to the people with utmost safety with convenience.”

Samples will be collected for 9 hours – from 8 am till 5 pm and no prior appointment for the test will be required at all three locations. The report will be generated within 24-36 hours and shared through WhatsApp, SMS, or email.
