The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) Sub Zonal Office, Ahmedabad, in collaboration with Gujarat University, celebrated the 75th anniversary of ICCR with grandeur and grace at Maharishi Sushrut Sabhakhand. The event was graced by Padmashree Joravarsinh Jadav, Vice Chairman of Sangeet Natak Academy, as the Chief Guest.

The celebration brought together a vibrant blend of tradition, talent, and cultural exchange. Distinguished dignitaries from the fields of art, literature, and academia, including Padmashri Bhanu Bhai Chitara, Annapurna Shukla, Smita Shastri, Dr. Suprava Mishra, Rucha Bhatt, Jigna Dikshit, Mahendra Joshi, Umashankar Yadav, Dr. Keyur Darji, Dipen Vaghani, and the first Regional Head of ICCR in Gujarat, Shri Makarand Shukla, graced the occasion with their presence.
In a beautiful confluence of global and local art, ICCR students and a visiting folk group from Vietnam delivered captivating performances, reflecting the essence of ICCR’s cultural diplomacy. The event highlighted ICCR’s commitment to nurturing mutual understanding through cultural exchange and promoting India’s rich heritage globally.

In his address, Padmashree Joravarsinh Jadav emphasized the transformative power of art and culture in building international bridges. Quoting his insightful words:
“संस्कृति सिर्फ़ व्यक्ति को नहीं पर पूरे समाज को संभालती है।”
(“Culture not only shapes individuals but also strengthens society.”)
He further added,
“ICCR का यह सफर केवल कला का उत्सव नहीं, बल्कि मानवता का संगम है।”
(“The journey of ICCR is not just a celebration of arts, but a confluence of humanity.”)
The event concluded with a note of gratitude and a reaffirmation of ICCR’s mission to continue promoting India’s cultural legacy and fostering global friendship through the arts.
