A small town girl Yogita Patel (khiraiya) now became sensational name in the world of Gujarati music industry. Let’s have a look at her life shortly.
Hailing from small hamlet named Mithapur (Chalala), Dist Amreli Gujarat. She is the only child of her parents. The economic condition of her family was not stalwart since her father was merely doing farming on other’s land & earning a variable chunk. Despite of such adversity, she managed to complete her Bachelor of Arts in English Subject along with Sangeet Visharad degree from Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva University Sangli, Maharashtra.
She started her singing career at a tender age of 9 years when she got an opportunity to sing folk songs in order to raise fund for cowshed building in the nearby village Jesingpara, Amreli. Where she was awarded 50 Rs for her performance. When she was in 12th class she secured 99 marks out of 100 marks in Music subject. It shows her dedication & love towards Singing. Her parents always motivated her to shape her career in Music industry. After marriage with a private school teacher her career took a long leap due to support of her husband and in laws. Since then she never looked back and gave plenty of live shows in various categories like folk songs, Marriage songs & Devotional songs in different region like Sangli (Maharashtra) , Puna, Rajkot, Amreli etc.
She is not only a singer but also a very good composer too. she has written Gujarati songs for her album. Her well-known album named Ame Kanbi Kathiyawadi, Parewadu,Panetar,ladkdi & Avsar na Todle. She had done past shows with most of the famous Gujarati singers along with Litterateurs like Kirtidan Gadhvi, Mayabhai Aahir, Rajbha Gadhavi, Sairam Dave, Khimji Bharvad etc.
Her singing ability, realibility and down to earth nature lead to attract show organisers to take her name when they plan to execute any function.
