Under Project Maitri by V Help Foundation, Friendship Day was celebrated today with great enthusiasm at the Gujarat Cancer Research Institute, Civil, Asarva, marking 21 years of support for child warriors fighting cancer.
Happiness was spread by distributing kits to over 50 children battling cancer, which included thermometers, coloring books, colors, games, Dettol soap, smiley balls, caps, face masks, and many other items designed to consider their health and joy.
Virangana Zala, a 7-year-old child hero from Ahmedabad who is a National Bravery Award winner and V Help Urja Award winner, lovingly made Get Well Soon cards for these children, which were given to the child warriors along with the kits.
The star cast of the Gujarati film “Pencil,” releasing on August 30, 2024, including Mr. Sanjaysinh Chauhan and Mr. Arvindbhai Vegda, known for the song “Bhai Bhai,” and the entire team were present to boost the morale of these child warriors. Pencils, aligning with the movie’s theme, were also distributed.
Ganesh Group members, Mr. Pallav Modi, Mr. Jitendra Shah, and Mr. Sanjay Shah, who serve free meals to everyone at Civil on the first Sunday of every month under the name of Mata Annapurna, were also present and expressed their readiness to continue supporting future events of the foundation.
The V Help Foundation team honored the “Pencil” movie team with a memento, and the foundation’s chief sevak and founder, Mr. Sachin Shah, extended best wishes to Team Pencil for their grand success, urging everyone to watch the movie.
Heartfelt gratitude was expressed by Mr. Dhaval Shah of V Help Foundation to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the cancer department, generous donors, and the dedicated V Help Foundation team members, including Mr. Vision Raval (co-founder), Mr. Jaimin Patel, Deepti Patel, Dr. Ayushi Shah, Shilpaben Rawal, Varshaben, Kamakshiben, Hetalben, Bhumija, Chiragbhai, Khushbu Shah, Aarti Shah, Vishruti Shah, Shridha, Devasya, Nik, and all those directly or indirectly involved in the service, who contributed to making the Friendship Day celebration a success.
