There comes a time in the year when some part of the luminous area of the sun or moon is covered with darkness for a while. This stage is called eclipse. When the moon comes in a straight line between the earth and the sun, the sun is covered, which is called a solar eclipse. When the sun comes between the earth and the moon, which covers the moon, it is called a lunar eclipse. From a scientific point of view, an eclipse is a super checking of the earth, which means that nature is constantly purifying itself so that the inhabitants of the earth can live happily. Such as washing away the impurities of the environment by rain water, then bathing the environment with the speed of wind in winter as well as destruction of remaining impurities by intense heat in summer etc. Yet there are many germs or harmful elements that do not even die from the sun’s rays or say the sun’s rays cannot reach them.
The eclipse is very effective for them. This is because during an eclipse the rays of the sun and the moon collide with each other so that its velocity, intensity and proportion increase which destroys the remaining impurities. School children know because science teaches power = force x velocity Thus the collision of the power of the sun and the moon gives rise to the energy required for purification which purifies the whole environment. But this purification process i.e. watching the eclipse with the naked eye is not advisable as the speed intensity and proportion of sun-moon rays can be very high and can cause harm So that the pregnant woman is forbidden to go out of the house at such a time. The rays emitted during the eclipse have the power to kill germs. It not only kills the germs in the cooking but also distorts the whole cooking. The ultraviolet (UV) rays emitted during the eclipse purify the air and water but poison the cooked food. The scientific reason behind this is that the atoms of water and air are so far apart that the rays of the eclipse pass easily through the water or air and become so distorted in the adapter of the eclipse rays. It is therefore forbidden to consume or preserve cooked food during the eclipse, only throwing it away is essential for health while the atoms of a solid are very close to each other. Molecules of solids are so crowded that they do not have room to move. It is advisable to put DARBH (that is special kind of dry grass) in dry ingredients like flour, spices, ghee, oil-beans etc.
This is because the DARBH is electrically non conductive so that UV rays are absorbed in the DARBH and prevent the food from being distorted. Cereals, beans, etc. are not as soft as cooked food so that ultraviolet rays cannot penetrate inside it but can damage its outer surface so it is better to use DARBH to protect. Mantra chanting, almsgiving, bathing etc. during the eclipse is very beneficial as the purification of the environment is so done that the waves of mantras can reach the almighty without any hindrance. Moreover, almsgiving in such a divine environment can be quickly absorbed by the Almighty. The eclipse purifies the water of rivers, lakes etc. So bathing is very beneficial and good for health. But keep in mind that it is advisable to take a bath not during the eclipse but after the end of the eclipse. A person who wants to live a consistently healthy life must understand and implement the scientific approach to eclipse.
