The 33-year-old Indian fast bowler, who played cricket for Hyderabad, has died of a heart attack. The sudden death of the fast bowler, Ashwin Yadav, has come as a shock to his wife and three children, as well as a wave of mourning in Indian cricket.
Ashwin Yadav played 14 first-class matches for Hyderabad in his career, in which he took 34 wickets. He made his Ranji debut against Punjab in Mohali in 2007. Yadav’s best performance came in the match against Delhi in 2008-09, when he took 6 wickets for 52 runs at the Uppal Stadium. He last played in a Ranji Trophy match against Mumbai in 2009. Even after leaving the Ranji career, he was active in the local league as a cricketer. Ashwin Yadav, 33, also played 10 List-A matches and 2 T20I matches for Hyderabad.
India’s current fielding coach R.K. Sridhar has expressed grief over Ashwin’s death. He described the Hyderabad fast bowler as an entertaining loving person and expressed his condolences to the family. R. Shridhar tweeted, “I am saddened by the news of Ashwin Yadav’s demise. He is a teamman. It was fun. He was a fast bowler. I will pray to God to give his family courage. “
