The final Test match of the four-match Test series between India and England is being played today. The record for most Test matches from India is now held by Dhoni as well as Virat Kohli.
Virat Kohli is playing his 60th match as captain in the fourth Test match being played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Dhoni also captained India in 60 Test matches. Under Virat Kohli’s captaincy, he has won 35 out of 59 Test matches. While facing defeat in 14 matches. In addition, 10 matches were drawn.
If we talk about Dhoni, he won 27 out of 60 Test matches. While 18 matches were lost and 15 matches were drawn. Virat Kohli already has the record of being India’s most successful Test captain. In terms of series, India are currently leading 2-1.
England won the first Test by 227 runs while India won the second Test by 317 runs. The third Test of the series was played in Ahmedabad and was a J Night Pink Ball Test. India won the match by 10 wickets. To reach the final of the first season of the ICC World Test Championship, Team India will have to avoid defeat in the fourth Test. India will have to hold the result of the match till the draw in the fourth Test.
