Mumbai police have arrested a YouTuber from Bihar for posting fake news on YouTube after the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. It is alleged that he has earned Rs 15 lakh in the last 4 months from fake news. The case was filed by Dharmendra Mishra, a lawyer attached to the Shiv Sena’s legal cell. The accused, Rashid Siddiqui, 25, is a civil engineer from Bihar. He runs a channel on YouTube called FF NEWS. Rashid Siddiqui has filed a defamation suit against Dharmendra Mishra on charges of defamation, public defamation and intentional insult. However, the court granted anticipatory bail to Rashid Siddiqui and asked him to co-operate in the investigation.

Police investigation has revealed that he earned Rs 6.5 lakh from the news of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death on YouTube. Earlier, Mumbai Cyber Police arrested Delhi lawyer Vibhor Anand. Vibhor Anand was accused of posting fake videos related to Sushant’s death and insulting Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Aditya Thackeray. Vibhor Anand also got thousands of subscribers from this video. Rashid Siddiqui had 2 lakh subscribers before Sushant’s death, which has now increased to 3.70 lakh.
