PM Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of IIM Sambalpur’s permanent campus on January 2, 2021 at 11 am through video conferencing. Odisha Governor and Chief Minister, Union Ministers Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Dharmendra Pradhan and Pratap Chandra Sarangi will also be present at the event. The function will be attended by more than 5000 invitees including officials, businessmen, academics and students, alumni of IIM Sambalpur and faculty.
IIM Sambalpur is the first IIM to implement the idea of a flipped classroom where basic ideas are taught in digital mode and the industry is given hands-on practical training in the classroom through live projects. The institute has surpassed all other IIMs in terms of highest gender diversity with 49% female students in MBA (2019-21) batch and 43% female students in MBA (2020-22) batch.
