The Ahmedabad Division of Western Railway has achieved a glorious feat by loading a record 10.06 crore liters of milk by running the highest ever milk special train in Indian Railways during the year 2020-21.
Divisional Railway Manager Deepak Kumar Zai informed that the Indian Railways has run a maximum of 132 milk special trains from Palanpur to Hind Terminal (Palwal) during the current Koro period and continued supply of essential commodities. Mandal loaded 7.47 crore liters of milk by operating 110 racks in the year 2019-20, adding that more than 100 million liters of milk has been supplied by operating 132 racks so far in the year 2020-21, which is a record in the entire Indian Railways. With this, the Mandal has spent Rs 12.39 crore as compared to Rs 12.39 crore last year. 5 crore plus 17.44 crore, setting a new record in its revenue.
According to Deepak Zana, the Ahmedabad division is a leading division of Indian Railways where the needs of the people are met by running maximum milk trains, as well as generating revenue.
