Ahmedabad: The 2 nd edition of Adani Ahmedabad Marathon (AAM) will be held on
November 25, 2018. Much like the inaugural year, the run is dedicated towards
Indian Armed Forces. The AAM 2018 route is certified by the International
Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF). The Marathon includes Full Marathon
(42.195 km), Half Marathon (21.097 km), 10K Run and 5K Run.
Elite runners from defence services to be among the participants. AAM 2018 will be
introducing a sub-segment of dedicated races for defence personnel across Indian
Army, Navy and the Air Force. This year, Adani Group will also present Wing Cdr.
Apoorv Verma Memorial Award for fastest runners within this category in fond
memory of late ex-serviceman and an Adanian. One-fourth or 25% of the proceeds
would be donated for the welfare of Indian Armed Forces. From senior corporate
executives to school children, the palpable enthusiasm in AAM 2018 indicates bigger
participation for the event.

culture within the society. We strongly believe that healthy population makes a
healthy nation,” said Mr. Pranav Adani, Managing Director – Agro and Oil & Gas.
“It is also presents an opportunity to participants to show their solidarity towards the
armed forces of India,” he added.
Mr. Abhishek Mishra, Race Director, Adani Ahmedabad Marathon and the
Ultraman & 3 times Ironman triathlete said, “The canal route which is flanked by
water and greenery on each side makes the Adani Ahmedabad Marathon one of the
most mesmerising experiences, particularly for full marathoners. I feel all serious
runners must explore this route. It is also a great opportunity for everyone to
associate with a noble cause of supporting our armed forces.”
In 2017, more than 8,000 people took part in the inaugural edition of Adani
Ahmedabad Marathon. One of the most picturesque marathon routes in the world
unveiled. The cause of the event was #Run4OurSoldiers. Around 1,000 participants
included veteran runners from the Indian Armed Forces. INR 50 lakhs donated to
Indian Armed Forces.
