Ahmedabad, November 22, 2018: Tara Foundation is a registered NGO that works on the noble purpose and campaign for the Deafness Free Society. The purpose is to remove the lack of hearing impairment from society. In reality, hearing impairment is the second most common handicap in India and potentially adds 2000-3000 annually in India. In this context, this time Tara Foundation has launched the first ‘New Born Hearing Screen’ Center at VS Hospital.
In Inauguration, The mayor of Ahmedabad, Mrs. Bijalben Patel, The Guest of Honor. Kirit Solanki (MP) and Shri Rakesh Shah (MLA), Silva Patel (Director of the VP House) as the Chief Guest, Shilpa Choksi (House of Mari gold) and Asha Desai (Vice President of Coldwell Banker), Board Member of VS Hospital Bipin Coins , Pradip Dave, Da. Vishnu Patel, Nisha Jha and Kanti Patel were present. This center is donated by Mr. Prakash Sanghavi, Chairman and MD of Ratnamani Group.
Ms. Neeraj Suri, Cochlear Implant Surgeon & Asso prof, ent dept, Gandhinagar Civil Said “We are very pleased to open a new Born Hearing Screening Center with VS Hospital. But Its not about choosing ,we are going to open other center in AHEMDABAD civil its only because of maximum load of New born in ICU ,deliveries, and pediatric OPD. Also we do it on children coming for vaccination; we are already doing in GCS Medical hospital and in major pediatric hospital.We believes that we should not turn deaf to deaf ears .Newborn hearing screening is the need of the hour.”
Mr Prakash Sanghvi ,Patron Tara foundation is supporting the cause and says when we can get rid of this disability we should work in that direction .we should have more newborn hearing centers in every district and Tara foundation will make this possible.
Mr Sunny Jain Trustee Tara foundation says Tara foundation is working in making newborn hearing screening universal in Gujarat.
TARA Foundation is working from last 3 year in 9 Districts of Gujarat. In 2016 Tara foundation started first center in Godhra Gujarat.
