A District collector Naval Kishore Ram said a person who had travel history to the United States is tested positive on Thursday. With this , the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra has reached to 12.
Collector Ram said the person who tested positive on Thursday had arrived from the US on March 1 and his samples were taken on March 11.
The condition of all patients in the pune city, being treated at the Naidu Hospital, is stable, he said. Out of nine patients in pune, seven had traveled by a flight from Dubai. Another confirmed patient is a cab driver who brought a couple, who were among the seven travelers from Dubai, from the Mumbai airport to Pune
With the 12 patients, Maharashtra now has the second highest in number of cases in the country after Kerala, which has 19 patients.
