Veteran playback singer SP Balasubramaniam passed away today at a Chennai hospital at age of 74. Balasubramaniam, popularly aka SPB, was admitted to MGM Healthcare on August 5 for Covid-19, and had been on life support due to his extremely critical condition in the last few days.
His Son, S P Charan said, his father’s covid test was negative but continues to be on ventilator.
SPB has begun his career as playback singer in 1966 with Sri Sri Sri Maryada Ramanna, a telugu film which remained continue till his last breathe. In May 2020 SPB crowned a song on humanity titled Bharath Bhoomi.
