Bollywood producer Gaurang Doshi who recently announced a slew of projects, one of them
with director duo Abbas-Mastan, is excited as the pre-production work on the projects is well
and truly underway. The announcement was made in Dubai with the Royal family of Abu Dhabi
present, and now the progress of getting the script together as well as the casting is underway.
Gaurang Doshi adds “Abbas Mastan created a genre of film-making that is very different from
any other directors of their time. They brought in plots that were constantly changing with so
many twists in them that it kept the audience on the edge of their seats throughout the film. And
that, as an idea of film-making, is very exciting to me as a producer.
Abbas Mastan added, “We have always believed in trying to change the way films are made in
Bollywood and that's what we plan to do with Indians In Danger. The script is very interesting.
This time we want to go several notches higher with the intrigue factor. There is a certain X-
factor that our films are known for and we want to give audiences that and more
Apart from Abbas Mastan, there are two other projects of Gaurang Doshi with Anees Bazmee
and Neeraj Pathak. With War showing audiences how the country are interested in action-
thrillers, this film seems to already have its element.
Gaurang Doshi proved his mettle with his masterpieces such as Aankhen, Deewaar: Let’s Bring
Our Heroes Home and Bawander, even managing to win four Limca Book records for his
eccentric work. He inherited the art of filmmaking at a young age from his father late Mr. Vinod
Doshi, who gave audiences, hits like Saccha Jhootha, Naastik, Dil, Beta & many more under the
banner of VR Pictures. Now being at the helm himself, Gaurang aims to deliver more
unconventional content under his newly incarnated Gaurang Doshi Productions breaking more
records like never before.
