One of India’s Leading Hospitality Management Institutes, V. M. Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Education (VMSIIHE), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the prestigious César Ritz Colleges Switzerland and its sub brand Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland.
The MOU which is valid for 2 years, was signed by Mr. Dattaraj V. Salgaocar, Chairman of VM Salgaocar Corporation Pvt. Ltd. and Prof. Irfan Mirza, Director of VMSIIHE with Mr. Yong Shen, CEO of Swiss Education Group and Dr. David Knuff, VP of Academic Excellence and Innovation at Swiss Education Group which mutually agrees to work closely to meet the shared objectives and vision of the two leading institutes.
The agreement allows students of VMSIIHE who have successfully completed the Bachelors programme to progress towards either a Masters of Arts in Hospitality and Tourism Entrepreneurship, Masters of Arts in Culinary Business Management or a Swiss Grand Diploma in Pasty and Chocolate Arts.
The collaboration brings knowledge transfer and faculty exchange in training and teaching-learning methods and other education efforts in the future. It also includes masterclasses delivered by faculty experts online or on-site whether in India or Switzerland.

With a string of long-standing associations with international and domestic hospitality majors to its credit, VMSIIHE offers a three-year full-time program which helps equip young hotel management students with intensive practical training and honing of necessary skills, with a special focus on development of personality, professional attitude and leadership qualities, all of which are signatures of outstanding industry professionals.
The Institute has the unique privilege of having an existing collaboration with Turismo de Portugal, the Portuguese government’s official tourism agency. The collaboration is the result of a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two countries.
VMSIIHE offers students opportunities to do their professional internships at reputed starred hotels in India and abroad in some of the leading hotels across countries.
