Prajavatsal Rajvi of the Gohil dynasty of Bhavnagar was keen to establish Kuldevi Khodiyar Mata of his dynasty in the capital. So this Rajvi made Khodiyar Mataji happy to come to Bhavnagar near Rajpara. Mataji was pleased and made a condition that I will follow you but I will not look back at you. So this Bhaktavatsal Mataji was walking back and forth between the Maharaja. Thus the cavalcade with the king was moving towards the present Bhavnagar side, but when Vartej came, doubt arose in the mind of the Maharaja whether Khodiyar Mata was coming back or not? As the suspicion for resolving this question grew more and more intense, the Maharaja finally looked back. Just Khallas, this is the place where Mataji was absorbed. The famous small Khodiyar temple near Vartej, where Mataji was stationed at this place. The Rajpara temple is located at a distance of 3 km from Nari Chokdi, but most of the people prefer to walk from there and every devotee who walks from Bhavnagar towards the Rajpara Khodiyar temple also visits the small Khodiyar temple.
