Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel and Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog Shri Suman Berry released Recalibrate: Changing Paradigms’ book wrote by Chief Secretary to Prime Minister Shri P.K. Mishra and former chairman of Finance Commission Dr. N.K. Singh and also a book named ‘Energy Security: Atmanirbhar Bharat Road Map – 2022-2047’ wrote by Dr. Kirit Shelat, Dr. Audemarie Mbuya and Dr. Suresh Acharya was released in the auditorium of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industries in Ahmedabad. Many dignitaries including Chief Secretary of Gujarat Shri Pankaj Kumar were present on this occasion.
On the occasion of the book launch, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel said that Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi has built the structure of development of Gujarat on the foundation of Panch Shakti and today he is moving the country forward in that direction. Only through water power, energy power, knowledge power, defense power and people power can the journey of self-reliant Gujarat and self-reliant India be made a success.
The reflection of Prime Minister’s idea of Swarajya to Surajya-Good Governance is reflected in these books. He added.
Further, the Chief Minister said that no country in the world can ignore India today. Under Shri Narendra Modi’s leadership, India has become the fifth largest economy in the world today. India hosting the G-20 is the result of a changed image of our country. The Chief Minister further said that Atmanirbhar Bharat is not just a slogan, but a reflection of the country’s potential. The Prime Minister knows the potential of the country. It is time to recalibrate the country’s capabilities. The Chief Minister further said that the book written by Shri Kirit Shelat and other experts on energy security provides a road map for energy security. These books revealed in Amrit Kaal are thought provoking and readable.
Chief Minister further said that Shri Narendra Modi says that governments should not run the country, but work to change the country. Today, many changes are coming in the country under the leadership of the Prime Minister. Drastic changes have come from the country’s health system to the tax system.
The biggest tax reform since independence has been made possible in the form of GST under the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi, he added.
The Chief Minister further said that this book contains the knowledge and experience of experienced civil servants. These books will provide direction in making the country a world guru, he added.
The Chief Minister further said that under the leadership of Prime Minister, a visionary regarding energy and climate change, a solar plant was built in Charanka in Gujarat, on the other hand, the first climate change department was started in Asia.
Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister and co-author of the book Recalibrate: Changing Paradigms, Shri P. K. Mishra on this occasion said that In this book I have mainly written five chapters, remaining chapters are written down by N. K. Singh Sahib from his experiences and keen knowledge.
Shri Mishra further said that I have written a lot in this book based on many experiences of Gujarat.
I find three main factors in the exemplary development of Gujarat, one is public awareness and participation, second is the efforts of voluntary and social organizations and third is the healthy relationship between politicians and bureaucrats.
He gave detailed information about the effect of good governance even at the micro level.
Former Chief Secretary of Gujarat Mr. P.K. Laheri said about these two books that officers who have served in civil service for more than 50 years have given this book based on their experience. Amidst the global uncertainty, our country is making a new batch today under the able leadership and is continuously moving forward. Even in the midst of an epidemic like Corona, the incidence of farmer suicides in the country is decreasing, it is not a small achievement, he added.
He further said that the book ‘Recalibrate: Changing Paradigms’ is mainly divided into three parts. This book can guide the country to become a 5 trillion economy. These two books should be discussed more and more in the state and across the country, he added.
On the occasion of book release, Chief Secretary of Gujarat Shri Pankaj Kumar said that I have studied both these books in just 48 hours. These books provide guidance for the transformation and development of various sectors. There are many challenges facing grassroots recalibration, but this book draws inspiration and learning from the experience and knowledge of senior civil servants.
Chief Secretary further said that I am confident that these books will be valuable reference texts for policy makers. He further said that in order to achieve the goal of self-reliant India, we need to address the challenges of climate change and develop renewable energy sources. These books also provide guidance for policy reform, He added.
On this occasion, former Supreme Court judge Justice B.P. Singh, NITI Aayog Vice President Shri Dr. Suman Berry, NITI Aayog Member Shri Dr. V.K. Dr. Saraswat, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister. P.K. Mishra and former chairman of Finance Commission Dr. N.K. Singh, former Chief Secretary of Gujarat Shri P.K. Laheri, co-author of Energy Security Dr. Dignitaries including Suresh Acharya, Additional Secretary of Forest and Environment Shri Arun Solanki, Former Additional Secretary Shri PK Parmar, President of GCCI Shri Prateek Patwari discussed these two books in detail.
A large number of officers-officers of NCCSD, GCCI and high officials and enlightened citizens were present on this occasion.
