India’s most loved celebrity dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10’ celebrated ‘Kapoor Special’ with much fanfare last weekend. As the show levels up while capturing the dance journeys of contestants, it bids farewell to contestant – Zorawar Kalra, who becomes the second contestant to get eliminated after Ali Asgar. The restauranteur stood in the bottom two with Shilpa Shinde after receiving the least scores from the judges Karan Johar, Madhuri Dixit Nene and Nora Fatehi. The public votes led to the elimination of Zorawar Kalra, who was seen polishing his dance mettle on the show week after week, despite being a non-dancer. Known for his high spirit, Zorawar exited the show on a positive note.
Zorawar’s dance spell is marked with some incredible highlights on the show. On ‘Family Week’ episode, the restauranteur brought his employees for a mesmerizing performance leaving everyone touched. He often got food for the Jhalak brigade from his restaurant and ensured splendid hospitality. During his stint, he styled his own signature move that he performed in each of his acts. He danced last on ‘Ek Main Aur Ek Tu’ and dedicated it to Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. Special guest Neetu Kapoor on that episode loved his performance and showered him with the best compliments. The contestants and judges heaped praises on Zorawar for always being positive. The competition now becomes fierce and the race for ‘Golden Chair’ becomes even more intense with Zorawar’s exit.
Talking about his short yet memorable journey on the show, Zorawar Kalra says, “Being a complete non-dancer, never in my wildest dreams, I thought that I would be considered as the representation of the ‘common man’ who wants to learn something completely new and get out of their comfort zone. I have always been fearless about taking on new challenges and here I took one on national television. My choreographer Suchitra Sawant is a maestro and has been a great support throughout. A big thanks to the channel and the entire team for all the love and support. I will miss everyone involved. This is the beginning of my journey as an entertainer.”
